A Few of My Favorite Things- First Installment

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens...
Alas, while quite lovely and adorable, these aren't at the top of my list this week.

But these are :)
H&M Faux Fur Vest- a very big trend right now, It could really be styled to fit any occasion.  I'm hoping to go hunting for one of these once I'm on break.

Chic layering, via The Man Repeller's Leandra Medine- I've recently become obsessed with layering sweaters and button downs like this ( If you read my last post on Airport Attire, her outfit is definitely something I would classify as looking effortlessly put together )
Black, studded combat boots from River Island- would look super cute with a pair of skinnies and a utility jacket :)  I love the extra toughness the studs give the boot.
Essie nail polish in "Sew Psyched"- a very sophisticated winter shade.
25 ways to wear a scarf in 4.5 minutes video, via wendy's look book on youtube- so useful if you're an avid scarf-wearer like moi!

So there you have it, my top five favorite things of the week.  Check back next week for another installment, and later this week for a special "how to dress for a holiday party" post :)

Airport Attire

Hey guys!  As vacation season is nearly upon us (or for some, it has already started), I thought I'd put together a little set showcasing a few ideas of what to wear to the airport.  It always feels nice to look chic, even when your on an airplane!

Vacation Time
I love to wear a button-down or a fun sweater with some slacks when I'm traveling, and a black loop scarf gives it a little extra something.  The key is to look effortlessly put together, and when you keep accessories minimal, and footwear simple, it's very easy to do so.  Want to mix it up but still feel comfy?  Try a sweater dress and a pair of thick tights- you'll stay warm while looking very put together.

That's all for now- any requests for sets or posts, leave a comment below :)
