....A..Blog Post?

Lalalalala...
Oh, wait, I have a blog??

I have neglected my blog for to long, and apologizes are in order.  It's been quite the busy week, I'll tell you that.  Early Action applications to three of my schools are due tuesday, so I've been in sort of a mad dash to get everything submitted and "styled" (lolz).
Actually, I had taken pictures for a look that I was supposed to put on here yesterday, but after we were done, I found that there was no memory card in the camera! :'(
So I thought to myself "What would other fashion-fascinated women want to know about", and this my friends, is what I came up with.

MAGNETIC NAIL POLISH.  Oh yes.  I found this little gem on my latest trip to Sephora, and I absolutely had to have it.  It comes in silver, purple, and gold, but I picked up the purple (I'm hoping to eventually get the others :D).  It's truly quite amazing, but I will say this - if you aren't a patiant person, this isn't the polish for you.  It took me a long time to apply it to just one of my hands, and it really only came out looking good on my thumbnail, so I left that thumb painted and ended up taking the rest off.  But I'm going to give it another try after I submit my app...speaking of which...
I guess I should get back to college stuff :)
Until next time!
p.s- the pics at the top are from one of my college visits to Loyola Marymount University (in Los Angeles, CA)

Black and White

Ciao Bella's!
Today started out rather chilly, so I opted for a more covered up look (and I of course had to add a scarf, I swear I have an addiction to them :P).  The blouse is one from the Missoni for target line, an item my mom actually snagged for me before the rackes were raveged.  It's a really nice, light material that I hopefully will be able to wear year round, with a sweater or maybe even a blazer.  Lots of different options, which is helpful when you don't know what the weather's going to do on a daily basis!  I also managed to get a cute sleeveless dress with a zig-zag down the middle, that looks very reminisent of the 60's.  Pair that with a bun on the top of your head, and your good to go.

This was just a quick little post, but if you have any specific requests for outfits or reviews, leave a comment!

A make-up blog: The Cat-Eye

 Well hello!
So, I'm not usually one to do makeup blogs (and I most likely won't do very many on this blog, sorry!), since I tend to just stick with mascara and foundation on a daily basis.  That being said, I was feeling the need to add some eyeliner to my outfit the other day.
Did I try just a simple black line?  Heavens no!  I went all in, and did the cat-eye!
Classic, yet chic,  It probably wasn't the smartest choice seeing that I had never tried this makeup trick before.  Suprisingly, it didn't turn out half bad.  There are a few suggestions though that I would make to those who are up to the challenge of creating this look:
-Start by first making a standard line across your top eyelid
-Then, start the wing part of the cat-eye from the end, connecting it to the line across your lid.

Probably not the best explanation, but, you get the idea (if not, I tried to capture the cat-eye I made in the two pics).  It's a really cute, modern, makeup look that'll compliment many different outfits.  It's also very on-trend with the 60's mod style right now :)

"Fall"-ing back into style

Goodness.
It has been to long, my apologizes :)  Life has been crazy with a whole bunch of stuff, but that's no excuse for leaving my blog bare in the first week of the October!  The temperatures have most definitely been dropping where I live, so it's time now to break out my favorite Autumn Essentials!

1.) Chunky knits: I love me some vintage clothing, and lucky for me, on a recent trip to clean my grandmother's condo, my Dad found BOXES of her old clothing.  Treasures, I tell you!  Though they have been hiding in boxes for god knows how long, I will give them the chic life they deserve :)
Cute with a pair of jeans and riding boots (always popular in the fall), but also with a skirt and a pair of edgy flats.  Perhaps leopard printed or studded?
2.) Scarves: I have a huge weakness for scarves.  No joke.  This fall, I have gathered a bevy of differently patterned neck-warmers.  My favorite probably has to be the black, loop scarf that I acquired on a family trip to Bar Harbor, Maine.
3.) Colored Pants:  A big trend this season is colored pants.  From cords to jeans, in all colors of the rainbow, they're a great statement piece, and a great way to bring some life into the colder days that are to come.  I like to wear mine (a pink pair with grey sharks that I got from Billabong) with just a plain black or grey t-shirt and a pair of woven sandals.  Now that it's getting colder, I'm going to need to get myself a pair of warmer shoes, perhaps some cute Doc Martens??  I have been wanting a pair for months!  Another thing on my list?  A pair of blue corduroys from J. Crew :)

Well, for now, I set you forth to go and shop till you drop (drop because of all the awesome fall knits you have in your hands, that is :P)!
