Let's Talk Trends!

Ciao!
One of my favorite trends this season is Menswear.  The tuxedo jackets, crisp white dress shirts, and sleek black slacks can be worn on so many different occasions.  You don't need to keep all three of these pieces together either.  Here are a few ways that I might wear these pieces when I'm putting together a look.

Tuxedo Jacket: Day to Night
The Tuxedo Jacket: For a cute look that's school appropriate, I'd pair this with a plain black V-neck, a pair of white jeans, black combat boots, and a few silver chains as an accessory.  For a night out on the town, switch out the black V-neck for a white V-neck, and change the white jeans to a high waisted, colored pencil skirt.  For shoes, I'd put on some black peep-toes, and for accessories, add a black belt and a simple necklace.

White Dress Shirt: Day to Night
White Dress Shirt: For a day-to-day kind of look that's equestrian inspired, pair with either dark-washed jeans, or plain black slacks.  Add brown knee-high boots and a statement necklace, and you're good to go! Going on a dinner date?  Trade the pants for a velvety pair of shorts (in navy, black, or army green, deep red), and throw on some black ankle booties, and add a black sweater/jacket.  Accessories = layer on a couple of wooden bangles, and grab a clutch.  Keep it simple with accessories when you have a look that pretty simple itself!
Tip:  When you're pairing a a sweater of any color or material, make sure it doesn't pass the skirt or shorts you have on.

Structured Pants: Day to Night
Black Slacks:  For a laid back look, pair with a fun graphic T-shirt, tucked in.  Shoes,  I recommend, should have a little bit of a wedge, so I'd pair this look with a pair of neutral-colored desert boots, that have a little wedge.  This helps you to both stand up taller, and it prevents your slacks from dragging on the ground.  If looking to dress up these pants, I suggest you pair with a pointed-toe heel, in a neutral shade.  For the top, put on a shirt that's got some fun detailing on the shoulders in a bold color, or something flowy with a cool pattern.  Add a fun cocktail ring, and your set!

So there you have it, a couple of different ways to wear pieces from the menswear trend this fall/winter :)
